When the author creates a piece of work, it becomes his/her property. The author or whoever wants the rights to the piece of work is then authorized to claim a Copyright.3 “Then it’s clear it is meant for the preservation of the rights of the creator of a work.”
Copyright infringement is an act of breaching the rights of the Copyright owner. Downloading illegal music or copying movies are good examples of Copyright infringement, 4 “Unauthorized access to any of the original pieces of work is nothing but Copyright infringement.”
5 “The world’s first Copyright law, the Statute of Anne, was enacted in England in 1710. Exercising its power under the newly adopted Constitution to secure the rights of authors and inventors” It was not until 1956 that a Copyright Act was introduced for the protection of films. The law has changed over the years due to the infringement incidents, the initial law of Copyright was to prevent purely literary works being infringed, but now includes dramatic and musical performances.
